Is...is that a Spawn reference or just a coincidence? :)

The headless body in the alley with a face painted on the wall.
Same thing as Al Simmons.

Probably a coinsidence.

Actually Hine wrote Spawn for 30 or so issues so that could be intentional. I totally missed that.

Some of the best issues of Spawn those 30 issues were...
Still sore 'bout Todd kicking him off :(

Looking forward to his run on The Darkness though :D

I've got a question about this new Bulletproof Coffin series.

Is the ink on these issues friggin' dry?

The past two issues I've had problems with picking up the ink off the covers with my fingers. It leaves a nice white fingerprint. My hands don't seem sweaty at all, either, just a good press and bam. No other comics from anyone, even other Image books, do this to me.

#2 was awesome! Three short weird, horror type stories, all solidly done and fulfilled reads.

It does seem like these issues are all stand alone. I'm enjoying that aspect of it, especially as in a way this establishes more about the BPC world. But at the same time I'd love another singular story like the first one. Either way, I'm happy with the way these are coming out. Wonder what's going on with #3.

So my shop missed #2 when it came out, so I had the pleasure of getting both 2 & 3 yesterday. Both were great. Kane is really just a great artist. I would say issue 3 was Kirby via Dan Clowes. And you can see how there are echoes of the first issue(the kid melting the naked figures head off). I love this book. Really unique, great stuff. The issues def stand up to multiple readings.

Holy Shit! Shaky Kane destroys a copy of Fantastic Four #2. Insane.

Seems like issue 4 will be an interesting read.
