, but while the first two issues were great, something was missing for me. I enjoyed both the writing and the art a lot, but it didn't really reach out and pull me in on a personal level...until this issue.
Marko and Alana both are entertaining to read about, but as characters they have that "new parent annoyingness" that makes it hard for me (a single, non-child-having dude) to get behind them. Plus they're traitorous deserters! (haha j/k!) But with the intro of Izabel this issue that minor hangup was fixed. I really dig her character and just from one issue I can tell she'll be the 'fun' part of this comic that I'll look forward to each month.
The rest of the comic is top-shelf (loved the Stalk, The Will and Lying Cat), but having Izabel on board helped internalize the comic for me.
