Worst grammar ever- "America's Got Powers"?

"America has got Powers"? "America HAS Powers"?

........that always bugged me.

Well I assume it's a parody of the show, America's Got Talent, so I don't fault them

Wow, you got a point there. That's hilarious. That makes this comic even cheesier. It always felt like a 'Hunger Games" inspired story. I don't know which idea came first, but what I do know is that "Hunger Games" came out first. I thought the first issue was ok, but not pull list worthy IMO I still wish them the best

I wanted to like this more than I did. The origin of the powers was too close to Rising Stars for me (right down to one of them, seemingly with no powers, being revealed to be the most powerful one of all). I'm not making an accusation or anything like that, just that it left me with the feeling of "Seen this!"

I never really dug Rising Stars. The concept was cool but I didn't dig the art and the story seemed to drift. America's Got Powers may go deeper than Rising Stars or at least be a bit more entertaining. We'll see...

Really enjoyed the first issue. I sort of go into my own world when reading comics so didn't see it as too predictable as I don't try to predict and just let it happen. I guess I can see people's problem though, maybe we saw he's got powers too quickly?

Though a bit predictable, I still thought the first issue was pretty great. As someone said earlier, Hitch is a monster as usual, and kills the art. The writing isn't bad either, and I think this could really be a good little book.
