I loved Hell Yeah. I think issue 1 shows a lot of promise and an interesting concepts. The enthusiasm from Keatinge and Szymanowicz in interviews is really contagios as well. I'm down for this book for the long run and I really hope it has a long run.

I dug it too bud, I am a little surprised more people here did not. I really believe in this comic, I bought 10 copies of number 1 I believe in it so much.

Perhaps I tend to be more critical of the comics I buy when I am on a budget. When I can just spend, spend, spend, I'm a lot less critical, I believe.

Yea I was confused on that post lol.. I was talking about Alpha Girl not Hell Yeah. I am currently fortunate enough that my budget on new stuff isnt too restrictive so I am hoping to eventually hit in big early on a new comic coming out that will be the next Chew or something. I know almost all comics will not be, but If I can pick the right one my goodness.... There is a copy of Chew 1 on ebay over $400 right now, and it just came out in 2009!

I am also trying to work on completely a complete run first print set of walking dead... which is insanely difficult right now. I need my wife to start making some comic book cash lol!

I LOVE Chew as well, but it was before I started buying comics. I am a fairly new collector.. I have 2-24 first prints right now. #1 first print is something I want pretty badly. Gratz to you for having it :)

Oh if you really wanted to sell it I would make an offer no doubt! Dont tease me quest!! But yeah.. you should probably hang onto it if you dont need the cash right now.. if the TV show is a hit the value may shoot up to WD proportions. Then again.. if the TV show fails the opposite may happen...

I dont care about the money... I bought it and liked it. The fact that it shot up in price is a bonus I will probably never collect on

Thats cool man, keeping it pure :) I like that.

To me I find the collect-ability aspect of it fun, even though I have never sold a single thing I have ever purchased.

Just read Manhattan Project. Strange book. Hickman really has a thing for subjects that are out there. Liked the coloring. It was a strange twist on Oppenheimer. I'll check out the next issues.

Yes, strange is a good word but original. I thought the direction he went with this was ingenious... especially being that I am a little bit of an Oppenheimer geek. I really liked the way he slipped subtle real facts in there (like Robert Oppenheimer's baby brother really is named frank, Frank O. also grew up to be a physicist btw, i didn't even know that until reading up on Oppenheimer to brush up after reading the comic) and mixed it was completely original and compelling fiction.

The way Einstein was staring at that Mayan looking artifact, never moving, even while under attack really has me curious at the direction hickman is going to take with that character. And the twist was great!, predictable from early on but still kicked in with the right amount of punch and presented at the appropriate time. I can see this comic taking a BRPD direction with some dark twist.

You say strange... but did you enjoy it?

I enjoyed it. Hickman really seems to be a science guy. The story was intriguing to get a guy who failed physics interested.
