A mailing list customers can sign up for. Every week they get an email with not only that week's release but also links to samples, recommendations, free issues etc.

Thanks, looks like the industry is tremendously strong and has grown significantly. What is everyone crying about the industry dying for then? Its double the strength it was 10 years ago.

Yeah, my comic store does that. I think its a great service, and why he gets so many image books out there.

ha ha... That reminds me of one of my LCSs back in the day. It was originally a Card shop that had a small comic section in back. Someone bought the comic section and hired a couple people to run it... one of the guys(just a friend of his) was a complete comic idiot... didnt know anything about anything. I remember I was looking to buy

for my brother. He went to look it up and mentioned something about Marvel. I said it was a DC comic and he argued back and forth with me for like 5 mniutes until we found it. How can you hire people that dont even know that BATMAN is a DC character?

I went to this CS in Salinas California that only had the comics that the employees read on the wall. They would order and pulllist anything you wanted... but to just walk in and grab comics on Wed, if you didnt want what they read, then they wouldnt have the books.
