This is the thread to talk about what you think would make your local comic book store better, or a great place to be.

For me, I love large spaces where you don't feel cramped, well lit and clean. I like the store business model that doesnt sell any used anything, all new merchandise concentrating on what will sell versus what used to sell. Something I wish my local store had was some tables or chairs for people to hang out and talk comics... I can understand the owner not wanting that stuff though so people dont sit there and read comics and put them back without buying like I see scumbags doing at Barnes and Noble all the time.

OMG that is the best gosh darn idea I have ever heard... you sir are the man! You are a freakin genius... comic book stripper clubs... where hot chicks are paid to be nice to comic geeks! I freakin love it.

There is a classy strip club in Baltimore called the Millstream Inn, I take customers there sometimes because the food really is great, best wings I ever had in my life. Anyway one of the girls there has the stage name Storm... I always thought that was cool, turns out she is a comic geek and talked about xmen with me while taking my money.

Although I was joking about the strippers, I kinda wasn't about the beer. Where I live there's a small comic store, Uncle Sven's Comic Shoppe that's right next to a pretty solid pub, the Groveland Tap. It's always fun to mix happy hour with a comics run.

Yeah but could you imagine people walking around a comic store with open drinks, getting bumped into and spilling on an entire new lot? Would not be good lol.

I do love my store... out of the 8 or 9 comic shops that I have frequented throughout my life, it is the best one by far.

What store is it? Throw them a shout out!

The store I go to is expanding in May to double its size, so the industry must be doing ok.
