Greetings,

I thought I might use this as a chance to get some additional info out about my new series PLANETOID... the first issue of which ships in June. It's available for preorder now and is featured in the April Previews catalog...

I just wanted to clarify 2 things in that regard...

1. Each comic in the series will not just have 32 printed pages, but 32 pages of story... for $2.99

2. Some of the preview images floating around (and those in Previews) came out a bit dark. This is my fault as I'm still color correcting the images. Rest assured this will not be the case with the final comic.

Already on my list and I can't wait until June. It looks really cool. I like the "gritty" feel the art had. The first page where he is crashing was really well done.

Could you, without spoiling too much, explain the mech guy on the front cover? Reminds me of Dog from Half-life.

Also how do I get the Previews catalog? Ask my LCS? Is there a webpage with info? I have been dying for an Image newsletter.

Thanks for the kind words and to everyone adding the first issue to their pull-list... I'm doing my best to make sure you'll get your money's worth with this series.

As for the questions...

PLANETOID will be 5-part mini-series. However, I strongly urge people to pre-order the single issues as a collected trade is not necessarily guaranteed at this point.. (and again, the single issues are 32pages for only $2.99)

The presence of the various robots/mechs in the series will be explained in the first issue... and then in more detail in the second issue. I've never played Half-Life but I do occasionally flip through video game art/concept books for inspiration.

Your retailer should have a copy of PREVIEWS. Maybe behind the counter? Like I said before, though, don't trust the image quality in there... the printed comics always look much better.
