Just thought I would start a thread about Image Comics that are heating up on eBay. Here are SOME of the ones I see using the Lyria Exchange website:

Peter Panzerfaust #2 - $10+
Chew #3 - $15+
Saga #1 - $50+
Thief of Thieves #1 - $65+
Revival #1 - $25+

Makes me regret going digital for all those recent Image #1s...

Whoa, a 9.8 graded Peter Panzerfaust #1 is going for over $150 (and there are still 2 days left on the bidding)

How much does it cost to get a book graded?

I'm definitely not the expert there, some other forumers who post here would be able to give a good answer. CGC has the following on their site: http://www.cgccomics.com/services/Services.aspx

It can take a long time (20 - 120 business days) and around $35 per book unless you send in 15 or more to be graded (then it's $25/book). They may also charge more if the comic is especially valuable.

I think it's hilarious that it can take 120 business days to do anything related to comic books.

It's probably a lot less time-consuming than they make it out to be. The price probably comes from the fact that once it's graded, that boosts the potential price you could actually sell it for.

There's also a site called PGX (the outfit that graded the Peter Panzerfaust #1 I linked to): http://www.pgxcomics.com they may cost less than CGC.
