I do miss Freak Force - something about that comic was really fun.

But I agree with those who say Image is doing SO MUCH great stuff right now & bringing back an older title would be a bit of overkill to me.

I agree this book really needs another try.

I don't miss "titles" per se... I miss the 90's energy and in-your-face artwork. Witchblade lost all energy and uniqueness when Turner left. It became a dull, flat title. The anime-looking run, the run where everyone had those traced-looking painterly faces... Same for many other titles. Besides Savage Dragon, early Haunt was the closest we ever got to that era (but the subdued coloring in Haunt brought the whole thing down big time).

I started reading comics in the early-to-mid 80's, but when i think "comics" i think of in-your-face 90's Image. I know people think comics should aim to be "serious business" Bendis BS and like to look down on 90's Image, and it's true that many titles had terrible writing. But i think 90's Witchblade had a good balance between "ok" writing and amazing style. I want comics to be bad-ass fun with insane art and flashy, glossy colors. Maybe it's just me.
