Yeah, it's gone. TMP is just on Facebook & Twitter now.

What Happened? :?:

Well, it was probably costing them money to host and moderate and 99.9% of the conversations weren't Spawn or even TMP related.

It was nice to have a spot to chat comics - but from a business standpoint, it couldn't have made much sense for them.

On Facebook, they can more easily limit the topics of conversation, they're arguably given more exposure outside of just the folks who registered for their board, and it doesn't cost them a cent.

Not sure why they don't just maintain the forum here for the comics (Spawn and Haunt). There's already a placeholder (that's now a broken link). :|

Hey everyone...

Been away (Disneyland, NYCC, then sick to the power of death, followed by a crazy bout of busy), but back and will try to post more often to help keep this thread somewhat lively.

First... Thanks for the birthday wishes!!! Appreciate it!

Second... As far as I am aware TMP is looking into shifting the now dead TMP link in the image forums to an active forum right here on image.com. Not sure when this will happen, or the reality of what I speak (type), buy it's what I'm told, so I'm passing it along.

Third... SPAWN #213 hits tomorrow, as you know. This issue is the beginning of the next step forward for Jim. 201-212 was a setting of the foundation and served to provide Jim (and some readers) with the groundwork for the history and mythos of the Hellspawn as well as the players and tone moving forward. 213-218 will see Jim coming into his own as his past begins to come into focus, all while various forces move into place around him.

Fourth... It was great meeting SPAWN readers at NYCC. The show was fantastic and the response to the book has been amazing -- retail sales may not indicate this, but the people who have read the book since 201 appear to be enjoying the read each month.

Fifth... murch, I have your sketchbook. Will send it out later this week.

Sixth... How's everyone doing? Looking forward to the new issue? What other books do you plan to pick up this week?

-Jon

Anyone remember that in the extras of the DVD to the Spawn live-action movie, Todd said that his planned ending for Spawn (which according to Millarworld interview, will probably only be done if no one cares about the character anymore) would be a twist ending? Am I the only one curious about what that could be?

Yeah, I'm curious to know what it might be - but I wouldn't want to ruin the ending either.

I think most independent creators have an ending in mind for their creations, but the way they get there might not be fully mapped out, and can be pretty fluid.

I remember that as well and have also wondered what it could be. Even with Jim Downing as Spawn, it could still be possible should the need ever come to have a definite end. Todd once seemed to suggest in an interview that he has future plans for Al Simmons, and that there is more to his death and appearance as Omega Spawn than we think. Very curious indeed.
