Keep on loving this series. A couple gripes about this issue though.

First: Freeman is shown in this issue to gun down four armed men with blazing speed, each shot killing or incapacitating his target. He even saves his brother, who brags about his own speed as a quick-draw, for last. But in issue #6 in spite of only having one target he is only able to wing Bel Solomon, leaving Bel able to escape on foot across a room of considerable length. Unless of course, Freeman wasn't really intending to stop Bel, but that is only a postulation.

And secondly: Again the robo-dog is on the cover, not in the interior! I guess it's building anticipation... I want to see the Ranger again. The sollicitation even read; "The Ranger and Death finally clash in the inevitable meeting of LAW and INEVITABILITY."

Keep in mind these aren't really gripes, I am loving this series and have recommended it to every comic nerd I can. :D

Issue ten, another fantastic read. This one truly was insanely good. More plot twists, including the revelation about Death's son, and the relationship between Wolf and Cheveyo, it really make you interested in the characters and their relationships to each other.

Best of all the issue ended with a literal bang; the return of the Ranger was way better than I expected it would be. And I guess we now know exactly what it is that puts him on a collision course with Death. So excited for issue #11.

I agree, a phenomenal issue - the art in this book really is as good as anything on the stands right now. I love the complexities that are brought about by the character relationships in this issue and how intertwined everyone is with one another. This starts revealing some of the motivation behind Wolf and now has be very curious about Crow as well. I have just always taken these two at face value as followers of Death, but now I am thinking there is more to them that will be revealed.

This book as good as it is definitely has a finite feel to it - I wonder how long Hickman plans of letting this one go...
