Latest issue of East of West (#32) was pretty fantastic. RIP the robo-dog though. Also RIP the Ranger's kneecap. Who knew that Archibald Chamberlain was such a deadshot?

With the end of Chew and the impending completion of Invincible, this title, Saga, the Fix, and Savage Dragon are the only comics keeping me going. I picked up a few DC titles and read them off the shelf the other day. They were all full of bombastic stupidity; thank goodness for Image. Now if only Trees would return to a regular schedule of publication...

Wow, the latest East of West (#33), really was a good one. When the rebels hijacked the flying train and crashed it into the tower a couple issues ago I was a bit in disbelief... I assumed that it would kill everyone, and although it did seem like Antonia LeVay's storyline was reaching its end, I was surprised Hickman would kill of Doma so randomly, as it seemed her arc wasn't done yet. Well, I was both right and wrong. Glad to see how the rebels having Levay cornered played out. A very exciting issue all-in-all. Doma kicking away LeVay as she was clinging onto her boot for dear life was satisfying, as was her capture and swift execution by the rebels. Very cathartic end for the character. Wonder if the horsemen have her replacement in mind?

Of course the disadvantage of these stories with so many moving parts is that we are going months without seeing certain characters. But on the other hand at least the cast is being whittled down somewhat, so that's a good sign that things will be coming together eventually.
