Hey guys, I need your help! I'm going to be self-publishing my first eBook in a week or so, and I was wondering if there is anyone on here with descent English skills who'd be wiling to give it a once over. Also, I'm looking for critical feedback. I really want to get into the world of PUBLISHED writers, and I know that books need to be critiqued and edited to reach a level of quality that a publisher might take notice of. At this point, self published is as good as it gets, but... someday.
I'll PM the story over to anyone who's interested in helping me with this project. I'll include you in my special thanks page for your help, and one day, when you are trapped in a ski lift over a horde of the undead, I might even come to your rescue. I'm cool like that.
I self published my own novel. I did most of my own editing so if you check my book out you can tell if I am competent or not. I also have a. Bachelor's degree in English and American literature. I am willing to look at your work. One thing to be careful of formatting. Amazon for example doesn't recognize a tab for paragraphs you need to use advanced indents or may be simply spaces but that can be tricky. Your choice of fonts can change the size of you space. What you want is to use your word processor indent function for the best indent.
I still need to complete the last quarter of the story, and unfortunately, I have a camping trip I'm leaving for in just a few minutes, which means I won't be touching the story again till Monday. I do, however, intend on completing the text of the story Monday. I'll PM it to you then, and thanks again. I'd love to get the opinion of a fellow writer. Have a great weekend.
