I personally can't wait for the Bruins opener tonight.

I was hoping the whole season would be cancelled.

Growing up in MA in 80s we loved hockey and basketball most with Bs and Celtics. My buddy is a waiter in Boston and has got to know a lot of Bruins. I guess since they aren't insanely famous I like it more. Call me a sports hipster.

Hockey rules !!!

However I am sick and tired of a lockout every time a CBA expires. Was almost at the point of not giving a shit about the season. Get your shit together and reach a deal. Fire Bettman immediately.

Rangers scooped up Nash , Rob. Could he be the missing piece for them to make their cup run ?

The Rangers are scary good. I think all the Bruins announcers picked them to win Cup this year. I really wanted Boston to go for him should be a huge trade for Rangers.

I figure as long as we have Lundquist we have as good a shot as anybody. Playoffs are a marathon though and the team that wins the Presidents trophy rarely wins it all. I wouldn't mind a couple more huge defensmen.

Also thanks for not mentioning your boys whooped mine last night. ;)

I didn't get to see the game because I was at a party, but the Devils started off the season with a win. I don't have any grandiose expectations for the season, but when you have the greatest player to ever put on pads and a mask in goal, anything is possible. Even if he is 40 and not as great as he used to be.

I love Brodeur. One of my friends in college is Robbie Ftorek's daughter. They were the team I followed before I decided to forgive the Bruins.

Ok since you're a Devils fan I understand you backing Broduer for Best Goalie Ever but Patrick Roy and Tretiak were both better.
