This subject has popped up in other threads (some that are SPAM) so I thought it would be good to keep the discussion in one place. Maybe the answer will be simple (stick with previous mods). However, maybe there will be new mods. I don't know if our opinions will have any impact on the decision, but here's a chance to voice your opinions.

I admit that I wouldn't make a good mod so I'm not putting my hand up. I can be too opinionated, I goof around on here much of the time and some forumers just don't like the cut of my jib.

Like with job interviews, I think prospective mods need to prove themselves first. This means exhibiting a balance of what's acceptable in terms of Kirkman's rules and what isn't. People who start up numerous threads that have nothing to do with Kirkman's work, regularly derail threads, post content that a wide range of fellow forumers aren't cool with and are frequently confrontational with other forumers shouldn't be a mod. People who start up numerous threads that have everything to do with Kirkman's work, try to keep threads on-topic and encourage friendly conversation among the forums community should be a mod. Of course, no one is a stereotype and no one sits on one side of this spectrum all the time - people can and do find themselves on both sides of the scale.

If there are to be new mods in town, I suggest Pete as a potential because I think he exhibits more of the good qualities more of the time. He adds value and is willing to provide information to his friends here that is useful and topical nearly 100% of the time. I'd also be cool with drake if he were to continue on as the lone "non-creator" mod.

Of course, this decision is up to the creator mods, not me

i was rooting for pete when kirkman was lookin for a mod last time and im rooting for him again, hes perfect for it and he posts like all the news here all the time

I like Pete for the job too. I'm also fine with Drake again.

I vote Pete... no offesne to Drake, but Pete is here more. And we need that...

This is true, specially while we are getting 20 spams a day recently.

Word... And again, Drake isnt really here enough.

Sidenote: I strongly recommend we all STOP posting in the spambot threads. The more we comment in them, the more visible and pervasive the spam is, act of defiance or not. This is really important until we get a mod. Let's all have some impulse control here...

And in those new porn ones... dont post in those at all. Just report them and let them fall to the bottom. Lets just act like they were locked
