So Euge we were talking about Phillip K Dick before the "Big Crash" ( Dick would no doubt see a conspiracy theory in that.)

If you're familiar with Blade Runner you're familiar with Phillip K Dick, it's based on his novel "Do Androids Dream Of Electric Sheep?" You would probably dig him. He's one of the most "literary" sci fi writers. He writes sci fi novels with social and political commentary and subtle satire that doesn't always come across in film adaptations of his work. Other good books by Dick are "The Man In The High Castle", "Dr Bloodmoney" and "A Scanner Darkly" which was just one of his other stories adapted into films. Some of his other stuff that was adapted was "Minority Report" and "Total Recall".

Yeah, I remember that comment of yours, but I haven't had the chance to pick one of Phillip K Dick's books yet. I'm still debating a jump on the Game of Thrones bandwagon or if I should just snag a couple of my fallback "classics" books. (I can only read a book at a time  ). I read a chapter of Game of Thrones on Amazon and wasn't totally impressed with the writing... the plot was pretty cool and the suspense was right on, but I'm a real snob in terms of teh actual writing chops.

Plus a really good twist at the end too.

I'll probably read Game Of Thrones eventually but I want to read a few other things first including Post Office. GOT will keep me from the res of my reading list for quite awhile.

Huerta said he picked up Rise of the Governor at SDCC. Anyone else got it yet?

That's really freakin' early. It's supposed to be out on October 11- if Huerta got a copy, that's some kind of miracle.

I looked for it there but I didn't see it. It might have sold out quick. The board games sold out in about 15 minutes. I posted a link to download the first chapter in the Walking Dead section though.

Not sure I remember the ending but that scene where they are talking about that bike with the missing gears cracked me up.
