well to answer norris, i just dont understand how his art hasnt gotten better over the years, he knows what people complain about and i just dont see why he wouldnt wanna change that himself, artists get better and better and he just seems to be at a stalemate for the rest of his life, whenever i see a comic of his i laugh, i didnt even know it was a big thing to laugh at liefeld when i get back into comics about 6 or 7 years ago and my friend was showin me some cable shit he did and i just laughed and said this is terrible, theres barely ever a backround in any of his frames, everyones on their tippy toes, and must i go on, i think his art is a joke the only reason i read what came out from the infinite was because of kirkman because i like him so much, sure theres alot of terrible artists but most of them dont have big names like liefeld and it just boggles my mind why anyone would be into it

Agreed. He's pretty much doing the same stuff he did 20 years ago. Most of the people that were around at that time have progressed, but Liefeld somehow just doesnt seem to have.

Liefeld's guide to creating comics:

1. Start new, overly-hyped comic.
2. Make sure new comic comes out late.
3. Abruptly cancel new comic.
4. Years later, abruptly relaunch said comic.
5. Make sure comic is late.
6. Abruptly cancel comic yet again.

You sure youre not talking about McFarlane here ? Or Keown ? Sam Keith ? Or, Or ...
Maybe "That's Just: The Image Way (tm)"

What did Kieth start and apruptly cancel?

Pretty much anything Marc Silvestri touches, he doesn't finish, and when he *is* doing it, he has a phalanx of about 11 "back up pencillers". Check out his "run" (cough) on "Hulk", or the Dark Avengers/X-Men mini.

There's nothing wrong with having assistants, or "back up pencillers". As long as they are not doing most of the work and changing the art (which is what that inker was doing for Liefeld), assistants are fine.

Ok, you got me on McFarlane there, but... When did he do the last Spawn issue himself ? Is Haunt still done by him ? Keown stopped doing PITT at issue #20 ? something ? Didnt everything started by Wildstorm get started/dropped/rebooted/sold/rebootedyetagain forever ? How about TopCow Cyberforce/Strikeforce/etc ?
Oh well, maybe im just braindead...
:(

Witchblade has been around for years. It's the third longest running Image book. Wildstorm kept getting rebooted once they were bought by DC. Both Wildcats and Stormwatch ran for 50 issues in their initial runs. Gen13 ran for 77 issues.

It still generally looks like Silvestri though.

heh. Remember Jim Lee's staggering 1 issue of "WildC.A.T.S." for DC, circa 2004-ish?
