I am thinking of doing a Ceasar style salad this evening for dinner. It is very simple. You take washed romaine lettuce, anchovy paste, two fresh lemons, sea salt, olive oil, and seasoned bread croutons. You mix the anchovy paste ( I use paste so I get the taste with out the bones, they also add spices so it tastes really good) with the juice of both lemons the sea salt and olive oil. Mix in the romaine lettuce and croutons; and let it sit until it wilts a little bit or eat it right away if you want it crispy. I like to let it sit and get wilted because all of the flavors mix and the croutons get soft.

I'm having salad tonight as well. Different kinds of lettuce: roman, iceberg, radicchio with bell peppers, cucumber and tomatoes. I'll have some fried turky with that that I seasoned with salt pepper and paprika. I made the dressing with white wine vinegar, olive oil, mustard, honey, orange juice, salt, pepper, garlic and onions.

Your German aunt's dressing always overwhelmed the french dressing.

I heard the french dressing gave up before the german dressing even made it in the area.
