Is it just me or is Shaving with a new razor the best feeling ever.

Also, the Blue Angels were practicing above my school today. It was awesome. They did a pass so low I could see the pilot. Isat and watched them for all of lunch. Those planes are georgous. Human aviation and space flight are so cool and interesting.

On aviation and space flight I totally agree. As for shaving, not so much. I haven't found a razor yet that doesn't irritate my skin.

Did you know that the razors they made in the late 1800's are still able to be used today, whereas these lovely new disposable razors are actually DESIGNED to rust. It would be cheaper for them to use stainless steel blades, but they've designed their own special metal blend in those EXPENSIVE AS FUCK throw away razor heads, so that they CAN'T be reused. They call this practice, "Planned Obsolescence." And by the way, it ain't just in your razors. Most products today are designed to be as cheap as possible, so that you'll buy the cheap version, use it for months/years depending on the product, and then, when it breaks, you need a new one, and which one do you buy? THE CHEAP ONE!!! I actually have a straight razor from 1884, and it's as sharp as the day it was made. I wish we could return to the days when everything was made by hand, and with care and pride. Jesus, those Samurai would spend YEARS honing the perfect blade. THAT'S dedication. I guess now a days, they'd just buy a single use katana, and pitch it after the battle was over.

I always wanted a straight razor because I thought they were the pinnacle of manliness, but everyone always told me it was dumb. I will own one sometime. With those badass brushes too.

I get razor bumps and all other problems from shaving. Although I shave everyday because my face gets really greasy when I grow it out.

There was an infomercial for an item that sharpened blades for disposable razors about three years ago.
It disappeared from TV - I always wondered if it was shitty or if the major Razor companies bought them out to take it off the market.

I'm assuming the latter. Honestly, and I'm not trying to sound like the crazy conspiracy douche, but corporations buy up their competitors everyday, and I'm not just talking about shit like razor sharpeners. Let me ask you a question. Which of the following makes more money for the pharmaceutical industry? A single shot that cures disease X, or a pill a day that TREATS disease X for the rest of your life? EVERYDAY new research and medical testing is STOPPED when these companies buy out the labs that are producing these cures, and those cures are shelved. Why? Because if you can cure a disease, you've saved a life, and in so doing, your customer no longer has any need for your product. If you treat the disease, you'll have a customer for LIFE. Which one do you think Stock Holders would prefer?
