I will def go and pick up the ASM books from the arc. What issue did the Arc start with? There has only been one Venom one and I haven't read it yet?

First Spidey was ASM 667. 668 just came out today. The latest Venom (6 I think) is the first one of the crossover.

I found and PM'ed you a list of em the books in the series.

Picked up Justice League #1. First DC book I've picked up since Death of Superman and it's follow ups almost 20 years ago. Decent first issue. Mostly set up. Jim Lee doing the art so it was pretty to look at. I'll give #2 a shot. Thinking about trying out Capullo's Batman too.

Secondly, Bob, do you actually read any Kirkman books in the first place? I remember you were checking out Walking Dead and Invincible, but haven't read any comments from you about any Kirkman property in months.

Well, I pretty much tend to stick with the 'not-so-serious' threads, like the community thread. Lessens the chance that I fuck up and derail the thread (whats there to derail in the comm thread anyway ? :) ) or worse...

The last Invincible trade I got was the 'viltrumite war' (Volume #14). And although I found this to be the best Invincible trade by far up 'till now, I think im deff gonna drop this title by now. (start flame war here   ) It's just not for me.

Im still enjoying the walking dead though. The last trade I got was Vol. #14: "No Way Out". Although I have to admit that I didnt enjoy the last one as much as the earlier trade's. I guess it's just me, but twd seems to get a bit predictable to me ?
[ insert 2nd flame war here   ]

I mean, it always seem to boil down to this:

- team on the road
- team finds a seemingly safe place.
- place turns out to be not so safe after all part #1: humans start fuckin up each other
- place turns out to be not so safe after all part #2: after humans killed off a quarter of the group, zombie hell breaks loose, and zombies kill of another quarter of the group.
- handful of survivors barely escape with their lives intact....
- team's back on the road.

Rinse, repeat ...

Still getting the next trade though.

For the rest: I really liked Wolf-Man, but that one's ended.

And im waiting for the 1st Witch Doctor trade. Same for super dinosaur.

And yes, I am one of those evil trade waiters ...

To each his own. ;) I found myself kinda losing interest in INVINCIBLE as well, but then I went back and re-read all my HC's and I fell back in love with it. I had just read the singles so long ago that I had forgotten alot of the cool little moments that had happened in the series. Next I'm going to go back and reread all my THE WALKING DEAD TPB's. :D Oh and as for a non-Image book I highly recommend The new WOLVERINE series. Issue #14 had a really interesting/f-upped ending.

This x10000000000

Sweet Tooth is my favorite ongoing non-Image book. With that said, I'm currently reading Lermire's The Nobody.

I grabbed that in HC format. Such a great read.
Orange you should pick up the Essex County Trilogy by Lemire. Great stuff and affordable for how thick the thing is.

Giving Synder writing and Capullo drawing, I'm pretty sure it's gonna be a very damn great read.

I've been planning on it for a while as I've been falling more in love with Lemire   I've been lazy with buying books lately though (unless it's from Thwipster, I buy too much from there!).

What issue does that trade end on?

I agree with you that that seemed to be the cycle, but I really get the feeling that that won't be the case anymore. I think Kirkman is going to go in a different direction now.

I believe TPB #14 collects single issues #79–84. I sure hope this book will continue to surprise and amaze me again. I really enjoyed the previous TPB's. But I can understand that it could be tough to keep a book new, fresh and exciting after having done it for so many years? Maybe Kirkman could use a co-plotter for some new ideas and input ?
;)
Im still getting the next trade though. I love this book too much to just drop it.
