Carson Palmer traded to the Raiders for a 1st Rd pick and a conditional pick ESPN reports.

Brandon Lloyd traded to St. Louis, Mike Sims-Walker cut.

What the hell happened to Mike Sims-Walker? He was Pro Bowl level a season or two ago and now he can't even stay on a roster?

He's the NFL equivalent of Stephon Marbury, but with less talent. He got paid and didn't feel the need to strive to get batter anymore.

I do not believe Cincy got a first round pick for Palmer. Raiders were desperate though.

If the Raiders win a playoff game this year it becomes 2 1st round picks. If not it's a 1 next year and a 2 the year after. I thought the bad deals might stop after Al Davis died, but I was wrong.

Wow that is one dumb move. They're mortgaging their future for a shot at the playoffs this year. ( A longshot. Palmer's just about done) Thing is the Raiders aren't that far away. Those two picks if used wisely, could put them right there.

Exactly. Especially considering the only picks they'll have now next year are a 5th and 6th since the others have all been traded away.

So I'm watching my Denver Broncos and I can't decide if I want to cheer for them to do good or hope they lose so we can have a chance at Andrew Luck. Am I a bad fan if I want my team to lose? At least with Tebow playing there's a little bit of something interesting to watch. Passing game is completely non-existent with him in the game so far though.

Nah, I rooted for the Giants to lose in 2003 so we could get Eli with the first pick. Didn't get the 1st pick, but we did get Eli. Now I wish we would've just taken Rivers or Roethlisberger.

Kyle Boller has thrown 3 passes so far and 2 of them have been picked, 1 a pick 6.
