Maybe Capullo couldn´t wait to get off the book :?

I think that might be the case

He only did some of the pages. There were 3 or 4 different artists. I actually thought any particular page looked decent but the change from artist to artist was a bit jarring.

Yeah, that was my feeling too... If any one of the artists involved had just done the whole book, or if there was a legitimate storytelling device that would have made sense to use the different art styles (flashbacks or something), it would have worked a whole lot better.

Well I finally read this.

If you're getting off this book with Kirkman and Capullo then issue 17 had a more satisfying end.

I honestly didn't like this issue at all, and I've enjoyed the hell out of the first 17. I thought the art wasn't bad, and I get that they want everyone to keep reading, but I think there should have been some closure to some of Kirkman's and Capullo's story arc.

I dunno. The cover was great, but this issue left me flat. When I do reread the run in the future I plan on only reading 1-17 as that feels like a complete story.

Overall, I wish Kirkman and Capullo went out with a bang which they did with issue 17. 18 felt like they were trying to put the bullet back into the gun after it was already fired.
