As an avid fin addict and listener of the Fin Addict Pod Cast I feel for the 'Savage Nation' bemoaning the lack of sales or availability of the book. But get this, when I hit up my local comic shop the other week to pick up Savage Dragon #221 I saw no less than 8 or 9 copies on the rack. On average there are usually about 3, one of which I buy as I don't have a pull list with the shop. Anyhoo thought I'd share that refreshing slice of positive news. There seems to be some kind of buzz percolating around the book. It didn't hurt that the deadpan expression on Dragon's face on the cover probably drew in a curious look or two from customers.

I had the opposite experience with 221. My copies were delayed by a week and I really wanted to read it so I went to a couple local shops and there were no copies on the shelf. One of the stores said they only get in enough for subscribers. So annoying. You can't increase sales of a book if you don't stock it!

That does sound ridiculous. I'm in Mississauga, Ontario, Canada btw. Really it's the first time in a long while that I saw that many copies on the rack at my lcs. Probably the last I remember there being that many was when Obama's endorsement was on the cover.

I'm in Ottawa and we have lost several comic shops over the years. You'd think the remaining shops would pick up the slack and stock a little more SD, but alas that is not the case.
