It just occured to me. Should we consider the "Image Firsts" reprint of The Savage Dragon #1 mini-series a variant?

The indicia actually identifies it as a different series "Image Firsts Savage Dragon #1" rather than as a variant of the original mini-series, but I suppose we can do whatever the heck we want in here (within reason).

We had that discussion before. Erik chimed in and said it's a book of it's own.

You are right though, I should update the variants on the first page. I hardly come here anymore....

Finally updated the variants.

Oh and I only uploaded the outer cover of the nsfw variant of #225...

Probably a wise decision.

Well, it did feel "better" than to upload a version with a gazillion "censored" buttons on it. Also, even if Erik has pulled the book from any rating whatsoever, this still is the image forums so other people might come in here and take a peek and I can only wonder what their reaction might be if they saw a cover that *cough* tasty...

I'm wondering though, which of the #225 covers is the regular version?

And while we are at it, have you guys ever pondered that Jim Lee's version of #13 is the original cover and Erik's issue just the variant?

I didn't specify when I sent them in but I believe that running Dragon is cover A, Fosco monster is cover B, Dragon v Darklord is C and NSFW is D.

That's not technically a cover variant as both issues are entirely different (though I believe the letters pages are essentially the same).

Oh yeah, you are right. I don't even have it listed as a variant in the first post.

I guess the question came from thinking about where the book belongs if you try to sort the comics. I think the wiki has Jim Lee's version listed as a oneshot which is a bit odd because it was always intended as a fill in for the regular series and it is in a sense the original #13. Not that I really consider it part of the ongoing series but that is what it was published as.
