Also another thought on the comic, I wonder exactly how safe Atlantis is underwater? Do we know for sure that Tyrraneans can't breath water?

Even if they can't, their ships could operate under there and they could just go down and blast the shit out the city.

The Atlantians never have any luck on land, I wonder why Mako thinks this time will be different.

I'm guessing it's out of desperation plus they have those cool little crab tanks that could do some damage.

Holy crap! This issue had it all!!

First and foremost, I must thank Erik. When it comes to the characters of Killzone and Razz! Thank you!! Holy shit, thank you!! It has bugged me to no end about what happened to these characters, and all hope seemed lost after last months letter page, but not only do they show up, but they get taken out!! Again, thank you!!! Now I have to bug you about Fish-Face.

This issue was great to the point where I don't know where to start.

The invasion is full throttle, we get to see Dart, Barbaric, Herakles Richochet in action after being missing in action for quite some time. We even get the Deadly Duo! Hell, even Hazard, Sage and Intruder make appearances.

Mako in Namor trunks? About bloody time. Kinda hoping Mako bites into the new king and sets the Grokk loose on the surface.

Angel not wanting to be alone as the world ends! Holy crap. Didn't see that one coming. Frank Jr. aint going to be pleased.

Plus Dragon shooting the hell out the aliens with guns! It was great seeing Dragon doing some damage again.

I can talk about what happened in this issue all day. Damn, it was that good.

This issue blew my fuckin' socks off. This book is firing on all cylinders! From the huge amounts of cameos (THE IMAGE JLA showed up! WOOT!), to an invasion that really seemed global.

I also LOVED how the end of the vanguard back up actually tied into the beginning of dragon! Technically you could read Van first and lead right into dragon! But I read it backwards so the comic looped nicely (and in a way leaves you with an EXTRA cliff hanger for Vanguard!!). That's some kick ass funny book trickery!!

I love that Dragon's people have guns that blast the shit out of these super bad ass aliens. They're peace mongers, yet they have super bad ass guns!!!! (can't wait to see where that goes).

Also when I read the ending I literally yelled "WHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!?!?". I expected Malcolm and Angel's potential for a relationship to linger around a bit longer. Damn, it's out there now!

Anyway maybe it's something I forgot, but why'd Mako go down to plea with the atlanteans? Does he have some sway with them I don't know?

Anyway fucking AWESOME issue!!!

In the interview Erik says he redrew a recent character for the trade. Anyone know who this is?

Interesting how this issue compares with 37. The invasion was stopped in one issue back way back when, but it also skipped around a lot showing off the whole cast taking on the aliens. The return of Atlantis and God Town were the best for me. We haven't been to Atlantis since 81, almost 100 issues ago! Too long.

I asked Erik in the "Ask Erik" thread to see if he could go into detail about the character redrawing. Maybe we will hear from him?

I will agree that it has been way too long since we have seen God Town and especially Atlantis. Hoping we see what Mako ends up doing next issue.
