I had no real problem with Radar the Hound Supreme being killed. He's a dog and we all know Erik hates drawing dogs. :) I think last time we saw Radar that he was heading off to train his offspring so I guess he came back. oh well.

*That*'s why that scene gave me pause. He was already out of the picture and I felt there was no need to kill him. But I guess it's a reference to Moore himself killing Krypto in Whatever happened to the Man of Tomorrow.

Anyway, if need be... The next guy to handle Supreme has about a million of his offspring to use as a Radar substitute.

But that's a good example of the feeling I had on a whole when I read the issue. This is Erik's way of streamlining things : kill a lot of characters (instead of, say, revising them or resetting things). And as Savage Dragon readers we're used to it, but this is bound to ruffle a few feathers for readers who are not accustomed to that kind of method.

Now what's I'm pretty excited about is that, in short, Ethan Crane and Supreme are now two different people. Superman and Clark Kent have probably been separated in a few imaginary stories or the like, but *never in the long term* and that could be a source of very-seen-before situations.

Only problem is that the dog died. Yes, the super dog. (Not sure of the characer name) I tend to have a problem with dogs being killed. What can I say, I love dogs and animals.

I get it -- I feel the same way much of the time.

But what's funny to me is it's not as though Moore didn't do the same thing -- and I'm not talking about Krypto. He totally offed Radar, and he did it brutally. Yes, later on that bit was sorta retconned, and they said it was just a robot Radar that died... but I'm pretty sure it wasn't originally intended to be a robot when Shadow Supreme was standing by Radar's corpse, with Radar's blood strewn all over the walls, talking about how he tortured the animal to death.

That could also lead to a good issue, those dogs coming to earth looking for dad.

I am not into that title yet, but the last page made my day. I believe next issue shows us where the book is going. I dont want multiple Supremes, too. I just like the one.

And the death of the dog wasnt nice, as in Aquaman 9 where the Panther died

This isn't necessarily a case of fans voicing their opinion having read anything. Stores order comics long before they're shipped. Retailers decided to cut their numbers, sight unseen. I know of stores that ordered Alan's issue and nothing beyond and stores that ordered both and didn't see any drop off. Sadly, for many readers, they are not given the option to continue. I have heard of cases where fans were told the book wasn't continuing from their local retailer.

These same retailers will bitch about digital delivery, and wonder why they're going out of business.

Retailers are a odd kind of breed. Mine was too, till he got out of buisness. He cared only for things he liked.

I hope the book will do well enough in the future, though i am not into it already, but i have the feeling it will grow on me. The last few pages of issue 64 gave me the feeling.

loved this issue. i read this and prophet back to back, both old school image versions of the characters returned in the span of 30 minutes for me.

that splash with him in the prison was amazing. also evil iron man style dax was cool too.

if i had one problem, its the same as jims, kinda wanted more of dax
