I've never been a fan of multiple versions of one character so seeing all those Supremes lose their power is a good thing.

Yeah, I tend to agree. That's one of the reasons I enjoyed The Dragon War so much, seei true multiple Dragons slaughtered. And that's why I'd happily see Dragon's people all get wiped out at some point. It makes the characters less unique if there's a shit load of them running around.

I really love multiple versions of the same character and superhero families -- but Erik really hit this one out of the park. He is delivering on every level with this series so far.

I think Erik solved this well. There's still a back door for the Supremes to get their powers back if any other writer ever wants to do that but I'm glad that he will concentrate on one guy from now on. At least I hope he does.

I think with the multiple Dragons it was clear from the beginning that it was just a temporary thing.

Erik also spared the most visually unique characters. Even if they do get their powers back, they're still different in appearance.

So is the next issue the beginning of an all new direction, establishing a supporting cast and stuff?

I liked the issue! I appreciate how Erik resolved the threads from Moore's run in a single issue, since it's likely that Moore would have done the same given the numbers of issues he had left on his contract.

Speaking of which, I wonder if Moore has read Erik's conclusion and what his thought on it would be if he has?

Before this run, I knew jack squat about Supreme and the first issue kinda threw me into a loop. However, this one I enjoyed a whole lot. Basically, it's Erik doing house cleaning, setting up the characters he is going to use, as well as throwing us an entertaining tale. Can't beat that.

Only problem is that the dog died. Yes, the super dog. (Not sure of the characer name) I tend to have a problem with dogs being killed. What can I say, I love dogs and animals.
