Doug TenNapel. He pretty much exclusively puts out Original Graphic Novels, and has a history of working as a storyboard artist and video game designer (Earthworm Jim, The Neverhood). Of his Graphic Novel output there are many at this point (man I remember when there were, like, two...)

Creature Tech is the gold standard, his break out hit that put him on the map. I would start there.

Personally I think Earthboy Jacobus is the finest GN he's ever written, his longest single story. A great value.

And the best of the rest (ie: All of the rest)

Gear
Tommysaurus Rex
Iron West
Flink
Monster Zoo
Black Cherry
Power Up
Ghostopolis

And a Ratfist collected edition should be solicited in next month's Previews through Image.
