I notice I don't see "NO PLACE LIKE HOME" on your pull, Jim. Give it a try. The art is quite good and I like what they're doing. It's got an EC horror comic vibe meets... say.. TV mini series feel. Also the art is quite good.

Eh. I'm not in the mood for ANOTHER contemporary horror/thriller (I've got Saucer Country* filling that gap at the moment). Especially one blatantly invoking imagery from the Wizard of OZ. Just not my cup. The art looks... okay. I mean its not really exciting me like Planetoid and Prophet do. But then I'm not an 'art' guy.

*now there's a book with some slick artwork.

I see that you're only partially interested in Flex Mentallo, Jim. It's quite good. I'm in love with that series. Also.. it's been recolored and is under 20 bucks!! So pick that baby up! It's one of my faves. It requires zero previous knowledge of anything to enjoy and wraps itself up in that single book.

Also.. After the fincast I was very excited about Hell Yeah, but I feel the art is taking it way down. Oddly the first few pages of the first issue were very pixelated. Sometimes it's really good, other times it's kinda rough. I give everything 3 issues to get where it's going so hopefully the 3rd times a charm.

I know, right? But I am coming off a freaking packed month. I could probably use a break. Plus I just got TMNT Ultimate Collection 2 and Legion of Super-Heroes: The Curse Deluxe HC in the mail. So I've got some other reading to catch up on.

I wanna read that No Place Like Home. I'm surprised Jim find the art mere "okay." My problem is my budget gets tighter. Each time I get interested in a new comic, it feels like a squeeze. I truly wish U.S. comics came in anthologies. At least that way I'd get to sample some of this stuff.
