I just spent a good hour or so, surfing that site. Great work, everyone! The info is awesome.

Why are the characters introduced in Deadly Duo Vol. 2 #3-4 considered guest characters, and who owns them? I saw nothing in those books's legal indicia that said they were owned by anyone other than Erik.

They were created by other people. I suppose technically Erik may own them but I don't see Erik using characters created by others. Ultimately it was mostly my choice to list them as that.

Why is Kurr listed as being in McSweeney's #33? The McSweeney's story is the "Harold and Linda" story with Brain-O, right? I' read that story in SD #175 and there was nothing to indicate that Dragon was in his Kurr persona there. Maybe Erik said prior to McSweeney's #33 came out that Dragon would be in his Kurr persona but I don't think that idea stuck.

And this is more of a minor irratation, but I wish the Ninja Turtles were called "the Turtles" in the summaries as opposed to "the T.M.N.T.".

The story takes place somewhere around 154-155 area.

Brain-O dies in McSweeneys and the last time he appeared alive in Savage Dragon was 152. Kurr/Dragon is in a police uniform and the last time he wore it was around 154-155.

What Benny said. I asked Erik to confirm this too.

I don't think it's of any great importance but I regard the Dragon in McSweeney's as the real Dragon. Yeah, I know it doesn't fit in with Brain-O's continuity, but Kurr never spoke that way -- even when he was pretending to be a good guy. The tone of the dialogue sounds distinctly like the same old Dragon we've been reading for years. Erik can correct me if I'm wrong, but I think the point of the McSweeney's strip was just to do a fun Dragon strip -- not to worry too much about continuity.

But I think it can sorta work both ways depending on how you want to read it. If continuity is more important to you, then yeah, it's not a huuuge leap to just say "That's Kurr." But obviously the readers of McSweeney's weren't expected to know the current goings-on in the book at the time of the strip, or where it might fit in exactly; to them, that was Dragon.
