Chester hasn't shown up since 64. He's still alive.

Would love to see ThunderHead again. Probably my favorite Larsen creation in the last few years, and hoping he might end up as a major player down the line.

I'd like to see the Mako vs Dragon rematch, it's been a long time coming. Also more Deadly Duo. The cameo in #179 was nice, but a back-up story would be even better!

Love Savage Dragon!

What do I wanna see, well, in generality, I'd like to see more 90s style and hard boiled fun. I love this book and love for it to evolve, but Dragon being an annoyed but good natured dude approaching life in a, well, hard boiled manner, that's something I'd like to see more of. More shadows, more gritty style, stuff like that. I know this book does a lot of Kirby homage and oldschool style in general, but maybe it's been long enough since 92 now that we can include some throwbacks to that style in the mix. :)

It's like, the gritty explosion was in, then it was very not in and it seems a lot of people shy away from it, but that mix of grit and humor is magic. Though of course 60s and 70s comics are also magic, let's mix all the magic in a magic mix.

And of course, more Dragon.

In a nutshell, I'd like to see Dragon with a goatee shoot a guy in the face, say something awesome with gritted teeth, then go home and blow off steam having sex with a fun super hot chick who he met at a bowling alley. :D

Would love to see Gateway again. I honestly can't remember the last time we saw him. He was one of the VC's better assets as he could get them everywhere.

Suddenly thought of something. It's a bit silly, but what the heck... I kinda liked it when Dragon rocked the 'stache in the first issue of the ongoing. I've always been partial to that kind of stuff, all the more so that it's easily removable. It was kinda neat in 70s TV shows when the 6 Million Dollar Man or Starsky & Hutch would suddenly grow a mustache for no particular reason in one episode and then let go of it in the next. When Malc is old enough, I wouldn't mind if he experimented a bit with various facial hair styles.

It's one of those things you can't do with Peter Parker because they would milk out unnecessary advertisement out of it, but Dragon can pull this off discretely, like it's no big deal.

Hey, talking about mustaches and beards makes me think of something : those crazy-ass long beards bad guys wear in old Kung-Fu movies. I think it's too bad that Dragon, who speaks Mandarin and Cantonese fluently, never had a chance to do to China or at least meet heroes or villains inspired by Chinese culture. I mean, he is called Dragon, that should be a natural.

Here's some new thoughts/hopes:

Volcanic and the Lava Lords need some panel time together.

Virago deserves a return. 178 issues has been long enough!

Arachnid vs Mutation

You know what I'd like ? A back-up feature on her that could be used in reprints or foreign editions so that the end of SD #2 doesn't feel so desperately cut short. I mean, the second part of the TMNT crossover can never be used again, we know that. But it would be nice for this story to have some sort of closure in Image reprints. I guess it would be possible to not use the Turtles at all, or to have just their fists or feet appear on-panel, kinda like when Martians from Mars Attacks reappeared in the Savage World.

As for new adventures featuring Virago, I guess it would be fun to have her be linked to the Inhabitor in a way, because their powers are quite similar.

Does the Hulk-like statue of Dragon exist in the Savage World? I thought that was the best commentary ever on how the Dragon is nothing like the Hulk. I wouldn't mind seeing Virago bring it to life, although it would probably be destroyed almost immediately in a fight against Malcolm or Angel.

Nah, that statue doesn't exist. They got a decent looking Dragon statue in this reality, I think in #96.
