I like the fact that Dataman would speak how I often find myself typing. I often re-read stuff I've written and realise my brain moved faster than my typing fingers and I've skipped a word. Ha!

I'm the exact same way until the rereading part as I tend to not reread stuff unless it's for work or something professional. Dunno. I probably should.

I'm just saying it's weird to say comics cost too much but folks are able to spend a huge chunk on comic-related stuff.

ive been debating this for a while with my woman. She doesnt understand why i say i absolutly need a signed copy of the savage dragon vs. Superpatriot issue (the emperor dragon one i forget the number) signed by erik larsen. She tells me a sifnature doesnt mean shit, but to me a few collectibles are worth it. However, few is abput all im willing to spend money pn, id rather get more xomics.

Not really sure where to post this but I'm pretty psyched! I met Erik today and got this commission of Dragon battling a character fellow Dragon-fan and I created, Lygor (higher quality scan to come).

And for reference, here's a drawing I did of Lygor...

I can't expressed how stoked I am now. So pumped to finally have some original Larsen art.

Damn that's pretty sweet man. Makes me want to get another commission from Erik, but first I need to get a Supreme cover.

I wish there was a way of seeing other commissions Erik does at cons. Probably some good ones out there I've never seen.

WHa-? Dude, why didn't you say that you were going? I was standing right next to Hanzo most of the time while talking to Erik. We were the first two at Erik's booth (we made plans to meet up).We waited for him for an hour before Erik showed up and talked Savage Dragon and comics the whole time we were waiting.

I stuck around for a while jawing with Erik, flipping the the original art, and having Erik show us his layouts to 182. I stayed a while but ended up leaving because the line was growing and I felt bad hogging all of Erik's time.

If I would have known that you were there, I would have tried to meet up!

here's a little write I did for Dragonfan.net that shows Hanzo's comission in progress: http://dragonfan.net/?p=1053

Yeah, I wish you would have let us know you were there, Raven. It would have been nice to meet you... for all I know, we were standing right next to each other, none the wiser that we were both there.

Anyway, here's a scan of the piece...

Decided to have a little fun with the commission, so I decided to color it... then decided to make it look like a comic cover. First is the "new" version...

And the old school "distressed" version...
