Anyway, it seems like Erik is going back to what Supreme was originally, which is "What if Superman was a dick?". Which is something DC can only do in Elseworlds or evil twin stories.

Have you read DC's Superman comics lately? Between Superman's Thoreau-quoting "walk across America" and Grant Morrison's version in Action Comics, I'd say Suuperman is a dick right now. That's what I meant when I said that Supreme and Superman are perhaps the most alike now more than ever.

Maybe DC is not doing Superman either, even though they call him Superman?

Darin, have you even read Morrison's Action Comics beyond the preview for issue #1?

We could argue for YEARS about 'what Superman IS'. Superman changes with the social climate, has his entire existence. The current Superman is no less valid they any previous incarnation of the character. And in time, it too will pass.

What I've said and what you've said may in fact be a difference without a distinction.

Yeah, I posted it a while back on Dragonfan.net in a little better resolution. If you click the image you can see the full size: http://dragonfan.net/?p=402

I guess I should make more of an effort to post links to the blog entries here.
