Wasn't Gary Carlson writing the pre-Moore Supreme at one point? I wonder if he will be involved. I love his stuff.

Yeah, he did. He also wrote Brigade around the same time when Vsnguard was on the team with Supreme.

Supreme had some talented guys on it. I need a couple issues to complete my run still. Supreme was a cool book, despite some obvious flaws.

Right! And Shadowhawk and Tremor were also on the team. Thats the most "United" Image book ever, I believe. Rob, Erik, Todd and Jim creations all in one spot.

I might be remembering that wrong. Gary was definitely on Supreme but I think he just consulted with the Extreme guys as far as Van went. Marv Wolfman wrote the book.

Yeah, I checked my copies. It is Wolfman. And, they are not really very good comics at all. But still a cool lineup for a team book.

Really? I don't see where it's mentioned in the interview.

Just read through it again. It does say in there about a "final script".

Well, this is some news. I personally have no intrest in any of these titles, they weren't the sort of the comics that got me into Image, and in many cases they were the sort of comics that kept me AWAY from Image for many years.

Pretty much how I've felt. Don't get me wrong. I'm going to give Supreme a chance at least as Erik is laying it out and writing it, otherwise I really have no interest in this universe of characters as the visuals have always thrown me off.

Can't say I'm excited, but I will give it a shot.

I am not a big fan of the characters as well. The irony in this is: Image is about creators, not characters. And the creative teams are pretty good.

Yeah. That's the thing. As a rule Liefelds name is enough to make me roll my eyes and ignore whatever he's doing. But he delegating to other creators here, and a few I really respect. So, conflicted emotions.

While I'm happy him and Erik have patched things up, a Rob Liefeld project just doesn't blow my skirt up. Sorry. I felt the same way about Image United, and we saw how that turned out. I understand that Erik is following his muse, but I'd really like to see a steady run like the old days where he gave 100% to SD. Yes, the interview puts extra emphasis that SD will stay on track, but old timers like myself have been down this road before. Given the new direction and already a few late issues, it seems like poor timing. Sales figures are now under 5,000 for any given SD book. I don't see how this Supreme project is going to help. Again, I'd be more than happy to be proved wrong.

Rob Liefeld doesn't excite me -- but Alan Moore and Erik Larsen do.
