Nice! I've always wanted to read the entire run.

Any chance of SD issues being availble in CMX-HDon Comixology?

And does Jason Pearson get any compensation for the digital release of The Dragon: Blood & Guts? He does co-own the copyright to that mini after all.

I'm considering getting an iPad for comics (the town i moved to 16 or 17 months ago has no comic stores or newstands that sell comics), as my iPod doesn't cut it any more... I'm missing full pages. But i'm wondering about

a) the resolution of Savage Dragon compared to the latest iPad.
b) is there even enough space in an iPad to store the complete Savage Dragon comixology collection?

Thanks.

There is a chance, yes.

He absolutely does, yes.

I switched to Digital a few months ago and have loved it. I've hoped that now that Savage Dragon has all its back issues on comixology and new issues are available the same day as they're available in print that publishing the book would be more profitable. Have you seen any increase in revenue due to digital comic services Savage Dragon is available on?

Erik,
What do you do to solve writers block, especially when 2 or 3 ideas need to go together in a limited space?

Hi Erik,

I remember you posting a short tutorial on how to achieve the old school comic book colouring/feel to your artwork. I did a search on it on the forums but was unable to find it. Any chance you could repost it? Thank you.

Struggle through it. Often there is a solution--sometimes it involves clever cuts and working with the reader to have them fill in the blanks. If you're really pressed for space--cut all fat--keep only the most essential panels. Years ago, comics shrank from 20 to 17 pages and in reprint books they needed to trim a couple pages in order to make things fit and often that was not a problem. With a nip and tuck here and there books could be trimmed down and retain the essential elements. If you look through most comics you can cross out a panel here or there without really effecting the story. Do that to yours. Write out the scenes in full (or draw them) and cut away, leaving only what's needed to tell your story.Often I'll draw many more pages than I need and then start cutting it down and combining things to make the story fit. An example of my own would be the end of Savage Dragon #161 where I was running out of room and every panel is absolutely essential. In some cases it was left to the reader to assume action was going on that wasn't depicted. See that final page. We don't see Daredevil or Dragon fall--but because we cut away we don't need to see that.

Erik,

what do you think about smoking superheros. I miss the times where Wolvie and Fury and the Thing smoke their cigarres, Gambit had its cigarettes and so on. Its unreal that no hero nor villain isnt smoking anymore. I know role model and all, but i didnt start smoking because my favorite hero did it, so the hell with it. Its just not real. And are superheros still drinking beer? I cant remember anymore, getting drunk is a habit the human being enjoys from time to time...

Lacing bones with metal isn't real, either. Hell, Adamantium isn't even real.
