It's not a question of "ready" for me personally, it's more of a question of time. It would take me 3 to 6 months to draw a single issue of a comic while working a full-time job. At that rate, it would be a 4 issue miniseries in about a year and a half to two years.

That said, I have been seriously considering just buckling down and drawing one of Greg's scripts.

I can tell you that with life and a girlfriend and a job I am LUCKY to get 12 pages a month. Mind you I am writing, coloring, drawing etc. If you had someone to help even with the coloring things would go faster.

But hey! You clearly got talent! Even if you just go at it casually, comics are just fun to make. And in the end you have something that MIGHT help you make a buck.

This is why I say , Go for it!

I'll also add it's amazing how fast work piles up. When i started I thought I'd never have a book's worth of material. Now I have enough for 3 books worth of material and no time to put the damn books together! (IRONIC). So don't let the slow plodding pace fool you. If you get started and just put in the time regularly it piles up before you know it.

I finally drew an idea I've had for a long time -- do JLA #137 as a 'Miracleman v. Supreme' cover; the Moore Capt. Marvel rip-off versus the Moore Superman rip-off...

And here's my version (a little cut-off, but whatever)...

My comic project I'm working on!

http://guttertownmassive.blogspot.com/p/comics.html

I was selling ashcans at the Emerald City Comic Con, and someone bought the double page spread of the city, so I bought an original Larsen page from Savage Dragon vs Destroyer Duck! Awesome-o!

Anyone remember former message-board regular Nick Justus? He started a Kickstarter project to realize his own comic book, and I pledged a bit to make it happen. It did happen, and two days ago I received my copy of Jesus E. Lee #1 by Nick Justus. Haven't read it yet, but I flipped trough it and it looks awesome. Very 70ies and a loveletter to comics, as far as I can see. Anyway, with the pledge, I got the signed book and a sketchcard with a character of my choice. And that card turned out so f-ing great i thought I share it on here...
