@jim Ah I see you edited your post a bit. I hadn't noticed till just now. It seems we ARE talking about 2 different things.

I have no desire to see a fanthology through to print. My idea was a freebie. Pure promotion. Give it away. Digital distribution. Bringing print into the equation is a head ache I don't care to be involved with.

So I'll leave that in your hands, good sir. Naturally I'll help however I can .

Same here! The top 10 cool moments and a review and an interview with Erik in Wizard all sold me on the book.

This is surprising -- I figured you were like me, around since the very start.

Nope. Sadly didn't start reading until SD 59. Caught up real quick afterwards. :)

I started at the beginning, but the series was already 75 issues old. Never read an issue, till i got my hands on a full run. Took a risk...

I don't think the standard marketing gimmick is going to work... Dragon pens and tshirts are not likely to sell in WalMart or Target because people don't really know who/what Dragon is.

Or, they will sell and it won't matter to the comic sales. I see countless people wearing Avengers or X-men T-shirts, but that haven't picked up comics in decades.

They wear them as a fad, not as a statement of their magazine buying preferences.

What if advertisements were added?

Erik could make more money and hopefully more minis and more Next Issue comics.

I have never had problems with ads in comics.
