I believe that this image was originally used in an advertisement or for some product (a model kit as I recall).
And, if I'm not mistaken it's first appearance in print was on the cover of this archive edition:

And, I recall one with Nightwing and Arsenal, but couldn't find it!

I was under the impression that it was a pin up page from a Detective Comics (circa 1966) but I could definitely be wrong
