This is truly one of the best first issues I've read in quite some time. I definitely see this book alienating a lot of people while other folks will love the shit out of it. I'm of the latter. I thought it was a welcome change from other stuff out there, especially the horror realm. I love stories where something isn't clear and you notice new things each time you look at it. There's sooo many clues and things that bring intrigue and I think it's damn good, sooo much room for interpretation and lots of placements of things that will be exciting to see unraveled. It had a very Kubric/Lynchian way of story telling. A lot of people like to be spoon fed information and here's a challenge to use our head in a different way. It is risky and you may alienate people, but know there are people with the same tastes as you, Riley, who value seeing something like this on the stands. You and I always seem to have very similar tastes, especially when it comes to story telling and horror. A book like this is different up my alley.

I'm very much looking forward to reading #2. Maybe a few questions will be answered, maybe a lot more questions will come up, but I'm sure we won't know where the hell this is going and this brings the fun for me in reading. I have a feeling of a possibly theme or plot coming down the line based on some panels and clues I caught, but I'd rather wait to see the story develop further before I try to make any solid claims.

So much fun, thank you for the great read!

I missed out on #1 last month, but since the second printing comes out this week alongside #2, I'm be picking them both up. Like Valentino in an interview I read last night, I'm also not a really big zombie fan (especially these days with the fad feeling so played out), but he really sold me on this series. Can't wait to check it out. :)

The first page of the the third issue is the most disturbing thing Riley has ever drawn, and that's a good thing.

Kelly does the lettering, so he sees it long before we common folk.

We are the 99%.

Nice lettering BTW, especially on issue two. Loved the red bubbles!

Aw shucks, thanks. There'll be a preview for #3 up soon, my spies tell me.

Bleeding Cool's Dr. Manolis Vamvoulis shows a big panel from Rebel Blood #2, refers to the book as "horrifyingly emotionally numb". He'd better hold onto his hat.
