I'm loving the book so far! I have to make myself stop reading it at night so I can get some sleep.
Gotta say though that I'm feeling a lot like during the Julia arc when I'm reading the book. What I mean by that is it's an emotional read for me. I don't like the bad guy, at all. And I keep waiting on something bad to happen to Hammersmith. I'm about halfway through the book now, right after the tailor visited Day's wife, and I really hope Day finds out and just goes off on the dude. I have more to say, but I'm keeping it a little spoiler free for now. At least until I finish the book.

 Hope you liked the ending, Ed!

Finished it up last night, and it was a fantastic read. I did like the ending, and everything leading up to the ending. I really enjoyed the characters and I'm pretty excited about everyones new roles in the storyline. Can't wait for the second book, which I assume is going to happen....right?

Great job all around Alex!

I got my dad to pick it up. He read it over the weekend and told me that he really enjoyed it. As a matter of fact, he thanked me for point the book out to him :)

Alex,

What ever happened to the book plates you were taking around to signings? You had mentioned that you might make some available through your website if there were extras.

Thanks!

It was a weird year and, while I did two (!) book tours I hardly did any comic book conventions. I had the bookplates made, but then never got around to putting them up online (and I know I owe a couple of you guys some plates). Mea culpa!

But there's lots of cool stuff coming up soon, including Bad Karma, then The Yard in paperback at the beginning of April, and The Black Country coming out at the beginning of June, and Something Blue coming out sometime in there too. Plus the hardcover Ultimate Proof books (I'll let you know about those as soon as I have a date for them). So I'm asking my Web guy to do a whole bunch of updates over the next couple of months and the plates will be part of it all. Thanks for the gentle nudge. I got a bit overwhelmed, but I promise to do a better job of things in 2013.

No worries.

I'm excited to hear that you've got so much stuff coming out next year - both new and old in a new format.

I'll keep an eye out for updates to your site.

You really do need to revisit Proof and crew when the time is right, though. I miss both the book and the gang that used to hang out here to discuss it.
