I've enjoyed Batgirl since the relaunch, but this last issue seemed like a throw away issue to me. It was ok, but it really didn't do anything but establish the fact that Babs and Dick knew each other, and Babs wanted to be left alone. :?

I'm reading the new Stephen King book, 11/22/63

So far, REAL GOOD.

But then, I've loved everything from him that I've read . . . well, except Gerald's Game.

After much prodding from others I am going to check out Uncanny X-Force

You should try Near Death instead. <poke, prod>

#2 was really excellent. If I had early copies, I'd certainly read them.

I am hoping to check it out for the next episode of the podcast... I am playing catch-up for the past 6 weeks worth of books or so. I will read some here and there but I have my stack of comics to still read. I have been trying to stay on top of the new Image releases for the show (I think last episode we reviewed 18 books).

I have a lot of books coming in this week, if they all ship like they are showing they will:

Justice League #3 - I think this is still on schedule but it seems like it's been a long time since the last issue.
Morning Glories #14 - After the ending of last issue, I'm looking forward to maybe getting an answer to at least one question.
Supergirl #3 - I'm liking Mahmud's art on this, and the story has been pretty good so far. Nothing earth shattering, but a good origin story.
The Walking Dead #91 - Looking for another solid issue.
Xenoholics #2 - I love DaMoose art. The story is pretty funny too.

My last couple of weeks books:
Batgirl #3 - I'm still liking having Babs in the suit, and doing the Bat thing again. But this issue was sort of let down for me. Didn't really see the point in the whole thing with Nightwing, other than to establish the status quo between them. And for Babs to run him off after a kick to the head. You would think that with how she's been thinking she wasn't ready to be back in the suit she would have welcomed the help. Just seemed like a lot of filler to me.

Superboy #3 - This one continues to be one of favorites. I like the new Superboy. He's extremely powerful, but has no idea what he's doing. Since he is a clone he doesn't really have a moral compass to guide him, and he's trying to figure out the world as he goes. His first interactions with people that weren't from N.O.W.H.E.R.E. is well written and sets up the worlds feelings for superheroes. It had a nice cliffhanger too.

Action Comics #3 - Still going good three issues in. Lot's of words in this book. :D But it's going toward developing Clark and Superman so it was a really good/dense read. The art has been good, and it's cool to watch how Superman is developing in the DCnU. Since I'm reading Superman also comparing the Action Superman to the other one is kind of cool. Looking at how he went from point A to point B has been fun.

I'm suffering a bit of a crisis of comics...

I think I might drop almost all of my Marvel books like a bad habit (which seems to be what they've become).

I can't honestly say that I really look forward to any of them like I do a lot of the other books I'm picking up.

McNiven's leaving Captain America after next issue - so that'll be my last issue of that book. I honestly don't give a crap about the Avengers books any more, and even Amazing Spider-Man is teetering on the brink of being dropped. Marvel scammed me into picking up Avenging Spider-Man for Madureira only to find out that GREG LAND is "drawing" issue 4 and Joe Mad will be back at some point... dropped.

The only Marvel book I'm having fun reading right now is Daredevil... so that and ASM (for now) will probably be the only Marvel books that survive the cull.

I'm reading TWO Marvel books now. :D

Dorothy and the Wizard in Oz and Wolverine and the X-Men.

Black Panther and Daken has been canceled. People are gossiping bout X-Factor possibly being next. If that's true, I have like no Marvel books.

So went and checked out a new comic shop a little bit outside of town and picked up:

Ultimate Comics: Spider 1-4
Ultimate Comics: X-Men 1-2

And I think I'm going to add them to my pull list. I've read the first issue of Spider-Man and the two issues of X-Men and I enjoyed them both.

Go for it. Don't read stuff because you feel like you should. I'm only reading ASM and DD and I enjoy them both. I was always Marvel heavy in the past.

That is where I was not too long ago - and fairly happy that the New 52 happened because it gave me time to stop some books and try others. As for Marvel man is that a mess right now. I still enjoy Avengers Academy and I have checked out Uncanny X-Force and enjoy it (honestly feels a lot like the 80's X-Men style books). Otherwise, I can never figure out what is going on with Marvel. Their whole Point One concept is terribly confusing.

It is funny because as I read books like Xenoholics and Green Wake, I get some joy and pleasure that I wonder why I even buy most of my Big Two books.
