Well looks like Image has decided to update the place a little, sort of breaks my heart to think we lost all of the history of the PROOF forum from days gone by. I figured I would start a new thread for some general discussion for the few of us that frequent here regularly and we will fill in the gaps as needed.

While I'm glad to see Image updating their site and boards, it's a shame that we lost all the great discussions that we've had around Alex, Riley, Proof (and other great comics) and just general wackiness.

Ah, well - maybe they're in the process of converting the old stuff to the new boards and it will all be back again.

If not, we've got some work ahead of us!

I am fairly certain there is no converting - I have been a part of one of these conversions before and it becomes an exercise in "starting over"

Well isn't this nice. I re-registered just so I could log in and post. My old username didn't work.

Gonna miss all the stuff that was lost...we had some good talks going.

it is 100% fresh start.... everyone had to re-sign up (but you could have re-used your old user name)

I didn't know I could reuse it. I almost went back to DKnobius, but decided just to use this. No big.

90 Schilling Beer is good by the way.

Are there any good Illinois beers that you know of?

Alexander Keith's IPA is my local go-to.

It's been around since 1820, but was really only distributed on the east coast of Canada up until about 10 years ago.

It's since become pretty popular right across Canada (in part because Nova Scotians tend to migrate west and bring their taste in beer with them), and has started to creep into the States as well.

Recommended if you can find it.

Lots of great craft / micro-breweries around Halifax as well.

I may have to plan a trip up to Canada to sample some beer, meet some forumites and see the sites. The closest I've ever been to there is Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan.

I have been to Canada but just Toronto so that is really like a northern US city. I cannot imagine heading up to the North Pole where Murch or EK live...
