Mudman #2 should be in the shops on (or roundabouts) Jan 4th 2012. Providing the holidays don't mess with deliveries too much!

Awesome issue... had to re-read it because of the accents(kinda confusing for me), but overall... AWESOME ISSUE. Mystery surrounds just who the MudMan is and who and why people will come to "destroy" him... and I cant wait to find out.

Love the LOGO too....

Thanks Quest! I had to rein in the accents a bit as I thought it might be a bit difficult for non UK readers to follow, so I'm pleased to know it didn't spoil the story too much for you. It's not something I plan on doing too often.

No.. it didnt spoil anything, but it was weird because I had to read it out loud a little to hear how it sounded... lol

Another fantastic issue! Yeah, Quest, the accents have me second guessing sometimes as well, but not to the point that I find it bothersome.

The lack of panel borders, the layouts, and the use of white space were visual highlights for me in this one; and the story progressed nicely, with some great character moments.

I'm looking forward to #3!

Another solid issue of Mudman. Presented in that classic non-linear style Paul Grist is the king of. Getting the story of the crooks was a really interesting way in fleshing out some of the background details of issue 1, and give us a chance to see things from a slightly different perceptive.

I have one question though. Was In Bruges at all an inspiration for the crooks and their situation? Because I kind of got that impression. Not that that's bad mind, I loved how happy the heavy set bloke was just being a tourist.

Can't wait till the next issue, and what is the deal with that woman?

Not seen In Bruges, so any similarity is coincidental.

Where are those guys from with those accents? I have to assume yow don't talk like that, since they were clearly not from your town. (I'm probably not using yow right, but I've only read the issue once so far)

Yow seem to have got the hang of it. They're from Birmingham (at least Vinny is). Like I say, I pulled back a little to stop it being completly incomprehensible, but I did want to establish they were from 'out of town'. Bostin' is brilliant and numpties would be idiots.
