The new Spenser book "Lullaby" comes out on May 1st. This is the first by Ace Atkins and should be an interesting take. I quite enjoyed the Jesse Stone book "Killing the Blues" by Michael Brandman. It is good to have these characters continue on. On a side note, I enjoyed the new James Bond book "Carte Blanche" by Jeffrey Deavers. Good stuff.

Didn't read the new JESSE STONE book and I'll be passing on the new SPENSER stuff, too. I just don't really care about the characters if Parker isn't writing them (in novel form, of course -- I enjoy the JESSE STONE movies). I have so little time to read these days, I'm still in the middle of Lee Child's THE AFFAIR (which I started over a month ago) and I can't wait to dig into Robert Crais' TAKEN.

I'm also looking forward to checking out IN PURSUIT OF SPENSER, a collection of essays by mystery authors about Parker and Spenser.
