On twitter a few weeks back, Jay mentioned the possibility of a deluxe hardcover of D5. Hopefully that happens and it does well enough to justify him coming back and answering some of the unanswered questions.

Mahmud Asrar's getting a lot of attention for what he's doing on Supergirl, so there's a good chance people might want to see his earlier work. I honestly don't see how any mainstrem super-hero fan who gives D5 a chance wouldn't be hooked.

It is great, but like a lot of my favorite shows, it is awesome but hasn't found its much deserved larger audience.

Finally got a copy of Vol 5. Don't you just hate it when a good series ends on such a cliffhanger?

Loathe it. I know I finished volume 5 right during the announcement of D5: Certain Death. Only for it to be cancelled. I rele hope Jay comes back to it at some point. I'm sorta liking the idea of HC version, now that my trades are falling apart.

Doesn't look like we'll be doing a hardcover version of D5. Hardcovers are really expensive to produce, and after talking to Eric Stephenson about it, we're just not sure there's enough of an audience to support it. We MIGHT do a big softcover collecting the entire series in a single, full-color volume. But a hardcover isn't feasible.

What's the likelihood of the D5 Annual and Holiday Special being included in such a collection?

IF we do a big softcover, it'll include everything -- the annual and holiday special included.
