Picked mine up today. Thought it was a good opening issue. Love the art, and I think Jay's writing is top notch for this type of story. Enjoyed it alot.

Got my copy! Like most everything about it. Personally I find the veterinarian character oddly compelling. Looking forward to learning more about her past.

Loved it Jay. I'll be picking up every one.

Oh and since you asked I recommend the crime novels of Dennis Lehane, Michael Connely, Walter Mosely and Elmore Leonard. You'd probably dig Carl Hiassen too, crime and corruption with snarky satire.

I'll vouch for Connelly.

Thanks, guys. I've at least sampled all the writers you've suggested so far. I hear so many great things about Connelly, but I find his prose way too bloated for my taste. He takes too long to say too little. I like stuff that moves along at a good clip. I find Lee Child getting too bloated as time goes on, too. Sometimes it feels like he takes an entire page to describe Reacher throwing a punch. It's like -- we get it, already!

Ok Jay try Leonard then. He has a rule " I read my stuff and if it sounds like writing I throw it out and start again."

I like Lee Child myself. John Sanford is good too.

I gave Child's first Reacher book a shot, it was alright. No big rush to read more, but I probably would.

But more importantly, who would win in a fight, Markham or Reacher. :D
