Hello everyone,

It's unfortunate that everything was deleted from our forum. In time, I'll clean it up and hopefully it'll be back to somewhat normal.

Too bad, but still nice to see updates from you guys.

I immensely enjoyed both your work on Girls and the first two volumes of The Sword (will buy the remaining two volumes shortly), so when I encountered the trade paperback of Ultra, I couldn't resist. Needless to say it's an excellent comic. But I have a small question concerning the binding. I'm posting this here because I didn't want to make a seperate thread for this.

After reading about 15-20 pages, the pages fell off the cover. I can assure you I take good care of my comics, and don't overly stretch the pages when I'm reading the trades, but this is the first time this has happened to me in a couple of hundred trades. Was just wondering if this has happened before with this edition? Is this something that can be caused by wrongful storage in the comic shop (too hot or too cold)? Or maybe just bad luck?

Thanks for your kind words. We're very sorry to hear about your copy of Ultra, but this is something we don't have control of. This is a rarity, and we don't know what could have caused this, but please take it to the place you purchased it to get a new copy. Let us know how that goes.

I had an issue like this with the second volume of the The Sword almost two years ago :shock:

I bought it from my LCS, took it home and let my boyfriend read it. Not even five minutes later, the pages completely came out. We took it back to the comic shop. They found that two of the remaining three copies had the same problem. They gave us the one that didn't. I haven't had any problems with it, nor with the other three volumes.

I'm very sorry to hear this. Image also told me that this is due to a printer we used. We don't use them anymore.

I see I'm not the only one then. Not a big deal. I used a glue stick to reattach the cover, it worked well enough. But I hope you guys have since switched printers.

That said, I really enjoyed Ultra. I picked up Ultra and the 4 The Sword trades (although I haven't had a chance to read those yet) based on recommendations from guys on the Kirkman boards and I wasn't disappointed at all. Fun story, excellent art. I thought all the "ads" were very funny. Looking forward to The Sword.
