Season 3 Change Predictions

There will be spoilers in here for anyone not reading through the prison arc in the comics, so be warned!

First and foremost, I do not see Rick getting his hand chopped off. Kirkman has stated that he regrets it and having to digitally remove it for the rest of the series is probably a waste of money in AMC's eyes.

I think the relationship angle with dexter at the prison will be removed

I think Tyrese will be a prisoner at the prison and thats how him and Rick will bond. Maybe being the first to trust him

instead of killing the twins, I think someone will kill beth.

I dont think carol will try to join in on the lori/rick relationship, but I do think she will kill herself the same way.

Those are all really good predictions, but I hope they work in the Dexter/Andrew dynamic. As others have said, I also think the chopper will be the impetus to get Rick introduced to Woodbury/The Governor. Regarding the hand thing, I don't know which way they'll go on it and I don't think the TWD creative team knows either. I think it's pretty clear Merle will be a test case for this since he's missing a hand. If they feel like that goes well, off with Andrew Lincoln's hand. If it is deemed too difficult/expensive, I guess Rick can give a big round of applause when The Euge is introduced (hopefully in Season 4).

If we get Dexter in the prison first off I hope he sticks around this time. He had potential to be an asset to the group. If killing him again is unavoidable I hope it happens the same exact way. With Lori wrongfully accusing him of killing someone. But this time...before Rick brains him, I hope he gets one GREAT solid knockout blow on Lori. Not enough to harm the baby, but enough to knock a tooth out of her mouth. I'd even settle for a hearty pimp slap. She deserved it back then.....she deserves it now.

Trying to predict anything in either the show or the comic is a mug's game--I don't think anyone's EVER been correct. Kirkman's just that slippery.

That said, though....

I think they're going to need to pick up a few more warrior-caste level characters before getting to the prison if they want to have the manpower to clear the place out. As it is, Rick, Michonne--assuming that she meets them before they hit the prison--maybe Glenn, Daryl, and maybe Theodore Duggs are about the only hand-to-hand fighters they've got. Tough to imagine just the four of them being able to clear out the prison if it's anywhere near as infested as it was in the book.

good point, but i think its entirely possible that the prison will have more than just 4 people still alive inside. it gives them the man power to clear it out and also gives them some redshirts to kill along the way.

i just really hope axle makes it into the show.

Herschel's proven himself a good shot and I'm sure Maggie's one when she needs to be. Unless they're low on ammo. I might have missed a line in the season ender where they covered that.
