I'm guessing that's mostly a joke but it's actually not bad casting.

i agreed with most of that quest, except:

phil lamarr has huge range and talent as a voice actor- hermes is one of the many roles he's done- dude doesn't always sound like a jamaican. actually, he was the voice of samurai jack and has played super heroes before- check out all the shit he's done here: http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0482851/ phil lamarr could probably voice half the characters in an animated invincible show himself with no problem. 8-)

pretty sure he was black- didn't he have a shaved head and seemed to be based on the john stewart green lantern? (who phil lamarr played in the justice league cartoon, coincidentally.)

Phil Lamarr was the WORST Gambit voice actor ever, but he was pretty damn good as Samurai Jack. Basically I can't make up my mind about him.

eh, i never saw (or even heard of) the wolverine and the x-men show where he played gambit, but i agree his samurai jack was good and so was his green lantern in justice league.

Multiversity.com takes a stab at casting Invincible. I'm always really impressed with Multiversity's casting couch choices and these are no exception. Probably the best all around list I've seen:

They're pretty decent. The female roles were cast well I thought. I like his casting for Robot's voice. I've always imagined an English accented (stupid Knight Rider), but his casting makes sense. I don't know about Patton Oswalt as Allen. I've always imagined a deeper voice. Not quite Patrick Warburton, but maybe something more Keith Davidish.

I dunno, I liked his voice as Gambit.

He also did the voice of Static Shock. Apparently he voiced Static and John Stewart back and forth during recording without voicing them at two different times.

Huh. That's weird. My favorite fantasy casting for Allen has been David Cross. I never thought of Allen as sounding at all gruff.
