Well, if we were to do another one-shot... it'd just mean it'd be even longer before the second miniseries came out.

Resuscitation was another really awesome issue of Witch Doctor as usual. The ancient Egyptian god/ghost mash-up with organ harvesting was a really interesting angle. I thought the "in bed" joke on the first page was a little out of nowhere, but the one-shot's dialog was very funny otherwise. The introduction of Catrina Macabrey adds some interesting romantic interest/seductive rival potential for future issues. I can't wait for what 2012 holds for this title - hopefully there will be a zombie issue thrown into the mix next year :twisted:

I enjoyed this victory lap for one of the best new comics of 2011. I'll be first in line for your next killer issue, Brandon!

Was it clear where I was going with that? The thing were you add "in bed" at the end of your fortune when you get a fortune cookie?

Yeah, I've heard several "in bed" jokes so I totally get the source material. I just view those as about on par with "That's What She Said!" and "Dead Baby" jokes. Except the latter two are funnier in my opinion. That's the thing about cracking a lot of jokes though, not everyone will laugh at all of them. You're a really funny dude and your Euge laugh to no laugh ratio is about 95% to 5%, so I wouldn't worry about my cough instead of a clap on that one.

Yeah, I totally understand the concern of timing a zombie story because of TWD. In your second year, however, I think the zombie issue can safely drop without desecrating Holy Bearded Ground.

I think at this point we're well-enough established that people are unlikely to think we're just another zombie comic if we do a zombie miniseries — so it's more a question of which story we should do, when.

Really enjoyed the issue. Good work as usual. I hope that Catrina will be a recurring character. She had a good dynamic going with our favorite witch doctor. Liked the inclusion of some of the elder gods into the monsters and myths that are being drawn on. Lukas' art looks great as usual. Can't wait for the next mini to start.

P.S. - How awesome was that Penny cosplayer in the letters section? So cool.
